The daily formula
The calculator on this site follows this formula:
Daily net USD = (Hashprice × BTC price × TH) − [($0.05 × 24 × EE ÷ 1000 + $0.0089) × TH × (1 − Discount)]
The discount must be entered as a decimal inside the formula. A 23.3% discount therefore becomes 0.233.
| Variable | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Hashprice | Daily BTC revenue per TH. |
| BTC price | The current US dollar value of one BTC. |
| TH | Your miner power in terahashes per second. |
| EE | Your miner's energy efficiency in watts per TH. |
| Discount | The maintenance discount that actually applies to your account. |
Worked daily example
Assume 4 TH, 12 W/TH, hashprice of 0.0000005004 BTC per TH per day, a BTC price of $90,000 and a 23.3% maintenance discount.
- 01
Gross mining revenue
0.0000005004 × $90,000 × 4 = $0.180144 per day.
- 02
Electricity before discount
$0.05 × 24 × 12 ÷ 1000 × 4 = $0.057600 per day.
- 03
Service cost before discount
$0.0089 × 4 = $0.035600 per day.
- 04
Maintenance after discount
($0.057600 + $0.035600) × (1 − 0.233) = $0.071484 per day.
- 05
Estimated net reward
$0.180144 − $0.071484 = $0.108660 per day, or about 0.00000121 BTC at this BTC price.

How to interpret the result
A positive daily estimate does not tell you how quickly the miner purchase price will be recovered. It also does not predict tomorrow. Hashprice, Bitcoin price and the discount can move, while available miner prices and conditions can change.
If your account has no discount, enter 0%. If your discount requires tokens, remember that the token value can also rise or fall.
